Our Stratton mk3 wall hung boilers are among the most compact on the market when installed in configurations of up to 4 in cascade on our low height frame and header kit. Suitable for projects where location and space can present a challenge, Stratton mk3 wall-hung condensing boiler units up to 70kW feature a compact footprint (487w x 577d x 764h). What’s more, when fitted to a Hamworthy Heating low height frame and header kit, it benefits from a height of only 1474mm, from the floor to the top of the boiler flue connection. In refurbishment projects, the existing commercial heating system design dictates what can or can’t be done. The replacement of pipework and other heating components may not be practical due to time constraints, costs and building regulations. A good example of such is our Corpus Christi case study.

Boiler compatibility can also be an issue, especially when the old heating system is ‘dirty’ from years of use. However, via methods such as hydraulic separation between primary (new boiler) and secondary (old pipework) circuit, this problem can be bypassed, an example is Hull & East Yorkshire Centre for the Deaf. In comparison, new builds allow more freedom when it comes to heating design, but are subject to stricter building regulations, such as Part L, e.g. in relation to carbon emissions.

Yes, Hamworthy Heating sell a full range of commercial air source heat pumps (ASHPs). The Tyneham range feature either R290 Propane, R744 CO2 natural refrigerants or R32 synthetic refrigerants. Accurately sizing hot water systems helps to ensure the system meets demand in the most effective way. If correctly sized, a domestic hot water system should run more efficiently, resulting in reduced heat up and recovery times, with no risk of hot water running out. It should also result in reduced energy use, and a lower carbon footprint. Unvented hot water systems require specific components to ensure they run safely and efficiently and meet the legal safety requirements laid out in Building Regulations Approved Document G, section 3. Manufacturers offer unvented kits which contain the necessary components for installation according to Building Regulations which have been appropriately sized according to the technical characteristics of the water heater or calorifier.
