A great day was had by all at our exclusive Tyneham Heat Pump launch event, which was held at Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey on Tuesday 15th November. Attended by customers and media, guests received a presentation on our first ever air source heat pump and had the opportunity to get hands-on and find out more from our Hamworthy Heating team.

At the heart of the event, Chris Caton, Product Director – Commercial at Groupe Atlantic UK, ROI & North America provided an informative presentation in Brooklands Hall. This covered the decarbonisation of heating and the diversity of products and technologies on the market, including electrification, heat networks, and hydrogen. Also looking at strategy, policy, and funding information, Chris provided an informative introduction to heat pumps and highlighted the benefits of our latest Tyneham Heat Pump range.

The monobloc air source Tyneham Heat Pump features a co-efficiency rating of performance (COP) rating of up to 4.85, to provide efficient, low-carbon heating.

The seven models in the range boast six nominal outputs of between 14 to 70kW, which can also be cascaded to achieve higher outputs in larger installations. Incorporating an inverter controller compressor to accurately match the heat demand, R32 refrigerant also maximises low global warming potential.

After a quick pit stop to refuel, guests got to experience the thrills and excitement of the circuit with a ‘Hot Lap’ passenger ride. In a race for first place, guests also got to go head-to-head for pole position in the simulation zone.

The event was a huge success and provided a fantastic opportunity for guests to get a real introduction to our Tyneham Heat Pumps and have some great fun on the day.
