We’re delighted to welcome Trevor Betts to the team as Business Development Manager for the East Midlands area for Hamworthy Heating, part of Groupe Atlantic. Trevor has a solid understanding of boilers, hot water products and low carbon solutions, having previously worked at ACV UK also part of the commercial portfolio at Groupe Atlantic. Trevor’s move to the Hamworthy team reflects his continued commitment to the commercial team and marks an exciting next step in his career.
With over 12 years of experience in the industry, Trevor’s path to Hamworthy Heating is shaped by a strong background in flue systems and technical sales, and most recently his role at ACV, where he joined as a Business Support Officer in 2021.
During his time at within the group, Trevor became a trusted advisor to consultants, contractors and merchants and played a key role in supporting product uptake across a wide range of commercial heating and hot water projects. This experience has given him a clear understanding of common plantroom challenges, as well as the ability to quickly identify customers’ needs and recommend the most effective and practical solutions.
Looking back on his career, Trevor says:
Having started out on the shop floor many years ago, joining the Hamworthy team feels like my biggest achievement to date. The Hamworthy Heating brand is hugely respected within the industry and I’m incredibly proud to be part of it.
In his new role at Hamworthy Heating, Trevor supports consultants, contractors and merchants across the East Midlands area. A typical day can include anything from site surveys and quotations to visiting customers and building relationships. For Trevor, it’s about making a difference and ensuring customers always have someone they can turn to for advice and support.
Trevor explains:
I’m responsible for making sure customers across the East Midlands get the best possible service. For me, it’s more than just selling a product, it’s about building relationships, earning trust and listening to what customers actually want and need.
One of the key challenges Trevor often sees in plantrooms is flue design and installation, an area he is very comfortable with given his background. With over 10 years’ experience in the flue industry, this knowledge allows him to support contractors on site and quickly find workable solutions.
Reflecting on product trends and wider changes within the industry, Trevor notes that whilst boilers continue to remain strong within the market, there is growing interest in hybrid systems as the industry works towards net zero targets.
Another big change he’s seen is the people: “It’s great to see the industry constantly evolving, with a new generation of engineers coming through and learning from those with many years of experience behind them. That mix of experience with fresh insight is invaluable”.
Looking ahead, Trevor is excited to promote the full Hamworthy Heating range of boilers, air source heat pumps, water heaters and cylinders. He is also particularly keen to work with the ModuMax boiler range which offers a great solution for plantrooms with limited space or restricted access. Featuring a compact design to help simplify installation, modules can also be stacked two or three high in up to 15 combinations, delivering up to 762 kW in less than one meter floorspace.
In his spare time, Trevor enjoys football, staying active and spending quality time with his family.
