Purewell variheat delivers cast iron reliability and efficiency at Skipton Building Society

Thanks to their cast iron heat exchangers, the Purewell Variheat mk2 boilers offer superb heat retention, reduced cycling, and long term durability, making them ideal for traditional heating systems like those at Skipton Building Society HQ.

Skipton Building Society, headquartered in the heart of Yorkshire since 1853, recently upgraded its central heating system to meet the growing demands of its modern facilities and busy workforce.

With its long serving Purewell boilers reaching the end of their operational life, the society needed a reliable and energy-efficient replacement installed quickly and with minimal disruption.

Long term Hamworthy Heating installer, Watson’s Building Services proposed a practical solution: replacing the nine original boilers with six high-performance Purewell Variheat mk2 cast iron condensing models. Delivering a total output of 1,060kW and matching the footprint of the original units, the new boilers were easily installed onto existing plinths using the same pipework layout.

Thanks to their cast iron heat exchangers, the Purewell Variheat mk2 boilers offer superb heat retention, reduced cycling, and long term durability, making them ideal for traditional systems like those at Skipton HQ.

Completed in just three weeks with minimal disruption, the upgrade now provides the building with a robust, efficient heating system built to last.
