Choosing two Stratton 150kW wall hung boilers was an obvious choice for our temporary plant rooms due to their high turndown ratio, stainless steel heat exchangers, spark ignition, and C13 flue systems. The BMS 0-10V interface built into the boiler controls platform enables us to monitor remotely.

We use the Purewell Variheat boilers wherever possible due to their cast iron reliability. Since changing to the mk2s with the upgraded LMS controls platform and spark ignition system, we will continue to be using these for the foreseeable future.

Being a company local to the site and previous excellent customer service we had no reservations about specifying a Hamworthy product. The newly installed boilers were handed back to the client within the programme period and under the original budget. We are very satisfied with the result.

The boilers were very easy to position and install, the installation instructions were clear to follow. Everything was delivered as and when Hamworthy said it would be. We also used the Hamworthy pipe kits, which are great, as they save time on site.

The customer service was good. We had the free site survey and direct contact with Steve (our local contact). The boilers arrived on time and well packaged and the commission of the system at the end of the job went well. I’m all round happy with the service.

The equipment needed to be able to respond rapidly to demand, as well as meet the strict building regulation standards required for new buildings on energy efficiency. Hamworthy’s condensing water heaters fitted the bill perfectly.

We have a great working relationship with Hamworthy; they provide technical support on the phone and knowledgeable sales managers in the field. The Purewell VariHeat boilers are a fantastic, robust product that we have installed in lots of our projects.

Space was tight in the plant room but Wessex ModuMax boilers can cope with the base load for the school with ease: The choice was easy. They also deliver great efficiency.

We specified the Varmax based on resilience and life expectancy. Other than this, we find the pull-out step on this model and the integral light fitting to be very practical for commissioning and servicing the boiler.

The Dorchester DR-FC Evo model was selected for its condensing technology and proven reliability continuing the long line of Dorchester water heaters we have specified over the years. The destratification kits help with Legionella protection.

The Wessex modular boilers were the best product to fit in the available space. I have used them in many previous installations so I know how reliable they are.

We replaced the gas fired water heaters with two Hamworthy Powerstock calorifiers also powered by the Wessex ModuMax boilers. All this was achieved without increasing the kW gas from the previous system thanks to the greater efficiencies of the new condensing boilers.

As well as needing to replace plant we were looking to lower energy bills and reduce carbon emissions. We wanted to standardise equipment across all sites. Due to the diverse range of products that Hamworthy offers we were able to choose the most suited boiler and water heater for each application.

The Powerstock calorifiers have a quick recovery to cope with these peaks in demand. We had to install two 500 litre models, as we couldn’t get the larger 1,000 litre model into the plant room.

Since the installation, we have found that we have managed to reduce gas consumption by close to 40%. This means that we have not only reduced our carbon footprint but have also benefited from significant savings on our gas bill, well above our initial project target.

We like using the Wessex ModuMax modular boilers as they are a reliable range and simple to service.

I have used Hamworthy Heating products for a long time now. They are well manufactured robust products that come with excellent back up and support from their staff. I will continue to advocate the use of condensing boilers as the savings I have seen from the Marlowe Theatre speak for themselves.

We chose the Wessex ModuMax mk3 boilers due to their slim profile and the 10 bar working pressure. It’s also efficient, streamline, compact, and easy to use. I chose the pipe header because they’re a simple piece of kit with a plug and play installation.

I have a really good working relationship with Hamworthy, and chose the Wessex ModuMax product for this installation as I knew it was a product I could rely on. The compact, vertically-stacking, design also means it can easily fit in the available space.

We have been really pleased with the outcome of the project. Since having the new boilers and BMS installed we have to date seen a saving of around 22% in our gas bill across the whole site.
